A product of Northeast Seattle, Tom discovered an interest in the law while taking an undergraduate class at the University of Washington his junior year.  This led to the University of Puget Sound School of Law (now Seattle University School of Law).

Tom’ s career started with a professional malpractice insurance agency that also managed and adjusted their insured’s claims.  This experience provided interaction with many different attorneys and law firms throughout the country, and exposure to various legal tactics and styles when defending a case.

Tom then moved to Nationwide Insurance and worked in their Bellevue, Washington office.  Tom’s work at Nationwide provided significant interaction with both plaintiff and defense attorneys throughout Washington State.  During this time, Tom obtained his CPCU designation, a prestigious credential in the property and casualty insurance field.

Tom then starting representing individuals who were injured as a result of another person’s negligence, and this is where he has spent a majority of his career.  For over 22 years, Tom successfully handled thousands of cases including car accidents, slip and falls, dog bites, and other tort claims. Tom was a member of the Washington State Association of Justice (WSAJ) during this time.

Every case will inevitably conclude, and how each case ends is based on a combination of factors too long to list on a webpage.  Mediation is a private and cost-effective way for parties to explore resolution of their dispute while simultaneously maintaining the most amount of control for their case.

Tom would be honored to serve as your mediator and put his experience to work for you with the goal of getting the best result possible for both parties.
